THE VALUE OF ASKING A BETTER QUESTION
Examples from Clement’s historical planning conversations show how he examines the choices behind the numbers.
CORPORATE WEALTH
A family considered an income-oriented portfolio of approximately $4 million, with hypothetical annual distributions of $200,000.
The question: If annual spending is closer to $100,000, should every dollar be organised around generating income now?
LIFESTYLE & RETIREMENT
In a planning model, reducing savings contributions by $1,000 a month still supported the client’s stated retirement objectives.
The question: Could that create room for approximately $12,000 a year of travel or other priorities?
A MAJOR FAMILY DECISION
A scenario compared a roughly $6 million portfolio with allocating $1 million of that wealth toward building a home.
The question: What changes if projected after-tax annual retirement income moves from approximately $160,000 to $140,000?

MEET YOUR FINANCIAL PLANNER
A conversation about your life.
Not a pitch for another product.
My work in Canadian financial services began in 2013. It has included individual client advice, comprehensive financial planning and advisory team leadership.
At uAdvisor, I help incorporated professionals and business owners connect the corporate and personal sides of their finances. We start with what matters to you, examine the decisions ahead and work through the trade-offs together.
Sometimes a better plan means taking action. Sometimes it means preserving flexibility or deciding not to act yet. The point is to understand why a decision fits your life.
HOW CLEMENT APPROACHES YOUR PLAN
The discovery conversation is the starting point. Where a further engagement is appropriate, the planning work follows four connected steps.
What do you want your money to make possible? Start with your priorities, your current situation and the questions that matter.
Model meaningful alternatives across your corporation, investments, spending and future goals—not just one account in isolation.
Understand the assumptions, consequences and questions that need input from your accountant, lawyer or other specialists.
Turn the findings into a sequence of decisions that fits your priorities, with responsibilities and professional coordination made clear.
BEFORE WE TALK
Incorporated professionals and owner-operated business owners in British Columbia who have built meaningful investments or retained earnings and want a clearer picture of how their business and personal finances fit together. The important question is the complexity of your decisions—not one rigid account-balance threshold.
In approximately 30–45 minutes, we discuss your circumstances, priorities and the decisions you want help with. Clement identifies areas that may warrant a closer look and explains whether his approach is a fit. This is an introductory conversation, not a completed financial plan or an individual tax or investment recommendation.
Yes. Your accountant remains an important part of the picture. Clement’s approach connects business finances, personal investments, spending and long-term goals, identifying where coordination with your accountant or lawyer may be needed. The conversation is about understanding what is already covered and where a gap may remain.
No. There is no obligation to transfer investments or purchase financial products to have the discovery conversation. We start with your situation and the decisions that matter to you—not a requirement to move your accounts.
No. You may be actively building wealth, deciding what to do with retained earnings, considering a major purchase or starting to think about working less. Retirement is one of the decisions your plan can address, not a requirement for the conversation.
Bring the main question you would like to answer and a general understanding of your business and personal finances. A spouse or partner is welcome if they are involved in the decision. You do not need to upload account statements, tax returns or sensitive documents to apply.
No. The introductory consultation is complimentary and without obligation. It is a chance to understand your priorities, ask questions and decide whether working together makes sense. Any further work and its terms are discussed before you decide to proceed.
